European Union ENHANCER Project

Our cooperative has applied to the Cooperative Support for Job Creation Grant Program of the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). The reference number of our project is ICMPD/2020/ENHANCER-353-1232933. The project implementation period is between 20.07.2023-20.01.2025. 
Founded in 1958, our cooperative continues its activities with 214 shareholders and 12 employees. The total capacity of 2 cold storages is 10,000 tons per year. With the project, we aimed to reduce the losses (collection, storage and shipment) and cash input costs of fruit products from the soil to the table, and to increase our turnover, which decreased due to the pandemic.
Within the scope of the project, a total of 13 personnel, 8 SuTP and 5 LHC, were employed. The project resulted in an annual savings of 3 million liras in the Cooperative's input revenues. Scrap plastic crates, which previously went to the garbage and polluted the nature every year, were turned into granules with the recycling machine we established with the project and turned into crates again in the injection machine and brought into the economy. 
Thus, we increased the competitiveness of our partners by providing them with affordable plastic crates.
